Many are trapped in growing waiting lists for elective surgery.
They’re left in limbo, living in pain for months and sometimes years. There are expected big rises in the number of points at Melbourne Health, Northern Health, Eastern, Western, and down the Peninsula.
The Andrews Government and Minister for Health Jenny Mikakos are blaming Federal Government cuts and a surge in flu cases.
However, the Opposition insists it is due to bad management.
Meanwhile, there is more bad news for the Andrews Government with the Budget slipping into deficit. Victorian Treasurer Tim Pallas has released the actual Budget result for the September quarter and they show a real revenue a lump.
However, the Victorian Government does expect the books to bounce back because most of the stamp duty and land tax will be collected later in the financial year
