An article today by the Dandenong Star discusses how a parliamentary inquiry will be held into the forced closure of the iCook Foods business in Dandenong by the Department of Health and Human Services. There are many questions that have been raised with respect to the handling of this matter by the Department and the City of Greater Dandenong. The legal and social issues committee is expected to report to the Parliament by 30 July 2020.
I spoke with the Dandenong Star commenting on the importance of this inquiry into understanding why a decent family business was closed and to investigate the Government deliberately hiding key documents in relation to this case.
