Member for Southern Metropolitan Region, Georgie Crozier is calling on the Government to provide immediate and detailed consultation to local businesses in Centre Road.

Ms Crozier has met with many business owners who are very concerned about the lack of consultation how the crossing removal will impact their trade and business.

She is calling on the Government to provide timelines and planning schedules, with specific information on:

  •      access and alternative parking arrangements
  •      expected disruptions to utilities supply
  •      expected road closures and
  •      outdoor dining implications for restaurants and cafes

Comments attributable to Georgie Crozier, Member for Southern Metropolitan Region:

The livelihood of local business owners and operators relies on constant and uninterrupted trade, they need to understand now how the crossing removal will impact their business.

Local business owners need to be able to plan for this major disruption to their business.

This week in Parliament I called on the Minister to provide a timeframe for proper consultation for impacted traders.
