Children Forgotten in Child Protection (13.10.2016)

Written on the 13 October 2016

Thursday 13 October

Today's release of the Department of Health and Human Services shows that there are near record levels of unallocated cases in child protection.

The latest data reveals that 20.7% of the state's most vulnerable children have no allocated case worker up from an average of 12.8% at June 2014.

Despite being asked on numerous occasions, Jenny Mikakos has refused to disclose the actual numbers of vulnerable children who don't have a case worker.

Jenny Mikakos is either hiding the truth or incompetent.

With youth crime at record rates, these vulnerable children need to be protected from abusive behaviour.
