Edithvale Kindergarten open - thanks to Coalition funding


At the opening of the Edithvale Family and Children's Centre at Edithvale Recreation Reserve which will support the current and future needs of families in the South East.

The $6.5 million Centre was funded by Council and an additional $1.5 million grant was provided by the previous Coalition Government.

The new Centre provides various services that support children and their family's needs including:

  • Long Day Care Services (2 x 27 place rooms)
  • Sessional Kindergarten (a 22 place room and a 33 place room)
  • Maternal and Child Health services and programs
  • Other Community based programs
  • Flexible space for playgroups, parent groups and other activities

The new early years' service hub will substantially increase places for families with children who need care and education programs.
