The Liberal Nationals are committed to ensuring community groups have the ability to continue the invaluable work they do within their communities.
The 4C's, established by the four Christian Churches in Pakenham, provides emergency food, clothing, furniture and in some circumstances, emergency accommodation. The 4C's has served the Cardinia Shire community for well over a decade helping the most vulnerable.
One of the great traditions of 4C's is the Christmas hampers put together by volunteers to help those who have so little during the festive season.Despite its amazing community track record, Daniel Andrews and Labor have refused to provide the support the 4C's have been calling for and desperately need.
That's why the Liberal Nationals will provide a total of $200,000 over 4 years to the 4C's and give them the base funding they need to continue their remarkable contribution to the most vulnerable in the Cardinia community.Under Daniel Andrews and Labor, Victorians have seen household bills skyrocket and it's getting harder and harder to make ends meet, especially during the Christmas period.
The Liberal Nationals will ease the cost of living by slashing water bills by $100, providing discounted car rego for first year P-platers, and offering free school books for secondary students and discounts for new energy-efficient fridges and TVs, for up to 85,000 low income households.
Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Families and Children, Georgie Crozier:
"Under Daniel Andrews and Labor, Victorians have seen 12 new or increased taxes and it's getting harder and harder to make ends meet.
"The Liberals will not only ease the cost of living but support those community groups who are seeking to help fill in the gap."
Comments attributable to Liberal Member for Bass, Brian Paynter:"The 4C's is one of the pillars of the Cardinia community helping some of its most vulnerable members.
"I am pleased to be able to make this $200,000 commitment to help those that help so many others."
