An elected Liberal Nationals Government will provide a $100,000 grant to help support the work of Mums Supporting Families in Need in the community.

Mums Supporting Families in Need is a volunteer run organisation, providing quality material aid to struggling Victorian families in partnership with community support and welfare organisations.

After a personal encounter with a mother in crisis, Mums Supporting Families In Need began over 5 years ago. Initially sorting from volunteers' lounge rooms and working with a select group of local support services, Mums Supporting Families In Need now services over 70 agencies from their Seaford warehouse.

Only a Liberal Nationals Government will support them back.

Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Families and Children, Georgie Crozier:

"Mums Supporting Families In Need is a vital community service who provides much needed support for families in crisis.

"The Liberal Nationals appreciate the valuable contributions of community organisations like Mums Supporting Families in Need who contribute to the important work of strengthening families in these crucial periods."

Comments attributable to Liberal Candidate for Carrum, Donna Bauer:

"The staff and volunteers are doing ground breaking work not only in Seaford but around Victoria, assisting families with the essential equipment needed for a happy home environment.

"All families deserve to have their basic daily needs met and if elected as Member for Carrum, I will keep working hard and keep delivering for my local community."
