Notting Hill Neighbourhood House is an integral community facility which provides an inclusive environment which brings together the many cultures and backgrounds of the local community.

Their social and educational programs provide arts and crafts, health and wellbeing, kids' classes, technology and educational programs to the wider community.

That's why an elected Liberal Nationals Government will provide funding of $100,000 over three years to partner with Notting Hill Neighbourhood House to upgrade the existing facilities of the community centre.

This funding will be used to upgrade the existing playground equipment which was second hand and is now old, rusty and faded, as well as providing the opportunity to refresh elements of the community rooms to provide a brighter environment for course participants.

Finally, we will provide funding to allow Notting Hill Neighbourhood House to build the BBQ and community garden it had recently planned.

Only a Liberal Nationals Government will help our local community organisations get back in control of costs and offer genuine recognition and support for the valuable contributions they make.

Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Families and Children, Georgie Crozier

"Notting Hill Neighbourhood House provides an important and integral service to its local community.

"The Liberal Nationals are proud to provide funding which will assist the community in furthering the work the centre does to provide an inclusive environment for Notting Hill."

Comments attributable to Liberal Candidate for Oakleigh, Andrew Edmonds

"Notting Hill Neighbourhood House is loved by the wider community it supports. The additional funding by a Matthew Guy led government will ensure the centre can continue to provide inclusive and community focused facilities to the residents of the wider Notting Hill area.

"The Centre's next focus will be on developing gardening, preserving and cooking activities.

"If elected in November I look forward to being part of the community who, over the next three years, will be able to use this focus to upgrade and develop the community gardens into facilities which can be enjoyed by the whole community."
