Liberal Nationals to upgrade Pines Community Men's Shed (29.10.2018)

Daniel Andrews has lost control of population growth and it's hurting local community organisations in our suburbs.

That's why an elected Liberal Nationals Government will contribute $60,000 towards new air conditioning, heating and additional insulation at the Pines Community Men's Shed to allow more local members to continue to use its services.

Men's Sheds throughout Victoria provide a vital contribution to the community, encouraging men to stay in touch with friends, and maintain an active body and mind in an atmosphere of old-fashioned mateship.

Only a Liberal Nationals Government will help our local community organisations to get back in control of costs and offer genuine recognition and support for the valuable contributions they make.

Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Families and Children, Georgie Crozier:

"Men's Sheds provide a safe and busy environment where men can share their skills and life experiences whilst learning from others and are constantly evolving to serve community demand.

"The Liberal Nationals are committed to supporting our community organisations like the Pines Community Men's Shed."

Comments attributable to Liberal Candidate for Frankston, Michael Lamb:

"Pines Community Men's Shed is an essential community facility that gives locals the opportunity to meet in a positive and supportive environment and provide opportunities to support men's health, wellbeing and social interaction.

"I am looking forward to seeing what our Frankston members can create for local children with this grant for the Men's Shed in future years to come."
