Recognising inspirational women on IWD

Attending the Victorian Honour Role of Women luncheon today - recognising inspirational women from all walks of life.

Pictured with Lorna Morris OAM and her family.

In 1969, Lorna became the owner and editor of the Numurkah Leader. At the time she was a young mother with five children.

Customers would ask to speak to 'the boss' and then ask to speak to 'a man.' She was the first woman to ever attend a Country Press Conference.

At 90 years, she was an entertaining and inspiring lunch companion.
